"WE LOVE BEAUTIFUL PRODUCTS
WE THINK ORGANIC
AND WE BELIEVE FAIRNESS IS NEVER OUT OF FASHION"
In many, many points, ArmedAngels combines Klow personal values. This is definitely one of our favorites brand in term of style, environmental values, fairness and transparency.
“No slave wages, no chemical madness,
no cheap mass production.”
This Germain brand has been created 10 years ago. This is a beautiful mix of contemporary design, sustainable materials and fair working conditions.
For them, there is no compromise between style, ecology and ethics. And that match perfectly with Klow values.
We couldn’t agree more with them. From their vision as human to their fashion business model as commited entrepreneurs.
ArmedAngels love beautiful, organic and fair products. Their mission is “ to combine fair working conditions and sustainable, high quality materials with beautiful design.”
They are transparent and their team takes care of being as most sustainable and ethical as possible.
ArmedAngels is one of the pioneer of sustainable and ethical fashion, they lead the path since 2008 to promote a more eco-conscious lifestyle.
"Organic is not just a trend for us it’s our belief and taking responsibility
and protecting our environment is not an option but a must.
Therefore, we only use sustainable materials."
Organic cotton, organic linen, organic wool, recycled polyester, Lenzing Modal® and Tencel®.
To show that these are not just empty words, ArmedAngels have been GOTS certified since 2011.
ArmedAngels only use organic cotton that is grown & produced without using any toxic substances. No pesticides, no chemical fertilizer, no chemical madness. Their cotton is organically farmed. That means, only natural fertilizer like cow dung is used for pest control. And of course - genetically modified seeds are completely banned.
Ogarnic Wool (Mulesing- & Chlorine- Free)
They only use mulesing- & chlorine-free virgin wool from certified organic livestock.
"Mulesing“ is an extremely cruel technique in which the skin around the sheep’s tail is removed - without using any pain killers. This is done to prevent fly maggots from nesting. Organic livestock farming sets high standards to animal welfare and ensures that animals are treated humanely.
Linen also called flax is a subshrub, which belongs to the oldest crop plants in the world. Unlike conventional linen, organic linen is cultivated without the use of substances like pesticides, chemical fertilizer or genetically manipulated seeds. Clothes made of linen are soft and light, last long and are relatively resistant against dirt.
Lenzing Modal® With Edelweiss®
ArmedAngels modal fibre is made of European beechwood and produced using Lenzing’s “Edelweiss® technology” (CO2 Neutral Technology). Cellulose - the raw material - is produced at the same location as the Modal fibre itself. That way the production saves energy and resources.
TENCEL® is a natural and one of the most sustainable fibre, made out of trees, mostly eucalyptus (cellulose)! Due to its closed loop (the solvent is used over and over again), the production of the fibre is environmentally friendly. Moreover TENCEL® is a real allrounder. The fibre feels like silk, cools like linen and warms like wool.
There is more plastic waste on this planet than you can imagine. Why not give them a second life and make clothes out of it? Cleaned and melted bottles can easily be spun to yarn like any other fibres. Products made out of recycled plastic are fluffy, breathable, last longer and save energy.
CERTIFICATIONS & SUSTAINABLE NETWORK
"Fair, organic, social responsibility ...sure, anyone can say that. To show that these are not just empty words, we work together with these independent organisations."

FAIR WORKING CONDITIONS
ArmedAngels is a brand that values human dimension and this is why we love them so much.
They care of each of their employees and they do their best to give the best working condition to each of the people working with them.
No matter if they are working in their head office in Germany or for one of their suppliers in India or Turkey.
"It takes a lot of sweat and time to produce clothes
as many people are involved in this long process.
This is our responsibility to make sure
that every single one of them works under fair conditions.
No matter if they are a cotton farmer in India,
a sewer in Turkey or a designer in Germany.
We are far from perfect.
We just want to do the right thing. Step by step, every day. “
ArmedAngels works with organizations such as Fairtrade or Fair Wear Foundation to help them to implement their high standards, social & working conditions.
ArmedAngels products are made in Portugal, Turkey, China
In 10 years, ArmedAngels has accomplished...
“After all, with founding a fashion label,
we chose the second dirtiest industry in the world (second only to the oil industry).”
ARMEDANGELS is proof that fashion can be done right, bringing together sustainable materials, fair working conditions and great design. Over the last ten years, they…
• produced more than 3.4 million pieces, all of them 100% eco & fair
• processed more than 1.4 million kg of organic cotton fibers in their collections
• never used pesticides, neurotoxins or other chemical absurdities for their organic cotton. Thus, they were able to spare the environment of roughly 2.700 kg of pesticides and about 350.000 kg of fertilizers – about 350 fully loaded mid-sized moving trucks
• saved about 2.8 billion liters of water just by using organic cotton. That's about 1.117 Olympic swimming pools, or about 20 million bathtubs
• contributed to improving the lives of cotton farmers sustainably by paying stable minimum rates. They got their Fair Trade certification in 2007
• expanded their range from 1.000 to 872.000 pieces. We came from "just t-shirts" to four full collections every year. From zero to 900 points of sale worldwide. From just one production partner in Portugal to six, joined by another five in Turkey and one in China.
• From three employees to 70. “Growing like that makes us happy – first and foremost because it means that the percentage of eco & fair clothing grows with us.”
